I got an email from a buddy at High Point giving me his Top 3 series of all time (since he has been coming to High Point...) It was fun for me to see what he thought was really challenging and helpful. So here are mine.
1) Face the Music... (I don't have an image for this) It was a while back but I Had a blast with it and love talking about the souls longing in Music and what how gods word answers it.
2) God of this City... It is the essence of my calling. It is why High Point exists. It is the Why behind the What and the How. It is Gods prophetic drawing for us as a Church.
3)The Shack... I feel like this one is drawing us to a deeper place. It is like that honest conversation you have with someone you love that makes the relationship really strong and life long. Evey week we are hitting the hard stuff and every week you and I are meeting God. We as people and as a church will never be the same.
What 3 was it for you? Why? This is the time to say what God did in you. Testimony time. I can not wait to read what you say.
By the Way if you do not know which one or would like to review... Here is the link to our past series. http://myhighpointchurch.podomatic.com/

Top 3 - too difficult to put in order
Traveling Light: Series helped me break free of the baggage weighing me down. Taught me to leave the worry at the cross and talk with God about my struggles, worry and sin.
American Gladiators: I learned a lot about what kind of believer I am through the concept of doubt. I am not sure what it was, something "clicked".
The Shack: Great book, awesome application. The sermons have been filled with emotion that can more you forward and heal.
Honorable mention:
- God of this city (the song is enough to give me goosebumps)
- The Dirty Dozen (each story unique and insightful to hear of those closest to Jesus)

I didn't notice that we're supposed to explain a bit more...here's my second try...
1. Dirty Dozen - A primary thing I got out of this was understanding the way the disciples (particularly Peter) were faulted, weak, and imperfect before Jesus died, and how it was only after Jesus was risen and the Holy Spirit was poured out that they were empowered to do great things. How relevant is that for us? We rely on that very same Holy Spirit that spread the Gospel like wildfire so many years ago.
2. Chasing the Lion - This was one of the first series I remember hearing at High Point, and I remember it specifically speaking to particular areas in my life that needed fine tuning and prodding regarding my life vision and pursuit. It was the summer before my last year at college and many life-changing decisions were at stake. It helped me discern the ins and outs of my "chase."
3. Freakanomics - I liked this one just because it focused on issues that are (in my opinion) central to the "mystery" part of faith, as well as key to understanding how God's laws don't change and that Truth reigns, whether we always understand it or not. The paradox of it all will always fascinate me. As Phil Wickham says: "Lose your life just so you can find it."
Honorable mention: Character Sketch, Prodigal
