I spend A lot of time each week getting ready for Sunday. On Sunday morning Olivia and I pray and worship in our living room (we turn the music up real loud to let Mom know we are down their) but it begins much earlier in the week than that for me. On Sunday afternoon I start the process... I pray, Study, Prepare a message, lead and challenge people, I try and recruit and get people in place, I think about how to do what we do better so those who do not know Christ can have a distraction free opportunity to know Christ. Basically my life is pointed towards Sunday. I am abnormal in that way. Most of you do not think about Sunday as much as I do. That's cool I don't expect you to.
How much do you think about Sunday? How much do you Pray for The people coming Sunday? How many people do you invite to Sunday? How much do you prepare your heart for meeting God on Sunday?
I ask not to bring condemnation. I ask because I want to challenge you to take a next step. When you are volunteering that Sunday put worship on in the car and pray as you come to church. When you are working with the babies (We could use some more help their BTW) Pray for the babies and their homes and their situations. When you are sitting their listening think about what God is trying to do in your and in each other persons life who is sitting their with you.
COME READY... ready to hear from God, Ready to give/serve, Ready to see captives set free, Broken restored, Hurting healed. Come ready to worship God. Come Ready...
