My mind races around Tuesdays after the weekend and a day off... Here are some of my thoughts.
- i was sick this weekend. I always feel a little off when I am sick and have to preach.
- I enjoyed the offering riff this weekend... don't know what it was but I liked it.
- I preached a series in one message Sunday I hate doing that but I kinda got myself locked in with the title and Peter could take a lifetime to preach through.
- Keep thinking about how much fun it is to be apart of a church that has big visions. The church I saw on Sunday is so much better then the church I saw 2.5yrs ago. The church in my mind is so much better than the church I see now. I love spending my life in the pursuit of building the perfect church. I will stay busy because there is no such thing as the perfect church.
- I am learning that I need to slow things down... let others come to conclusions and own the process... I like results and things done yesterday.
- I saw Elizabeth "the Golden age" (rented it on iTunes) it was really pretty good. I love history.
- We bought Olivia big, cool, noisy toys to crawl on.
- i want us as a church to get to know and understand what it means to be lead by the Holy Spirit of God. It is a lifetime pursuit but I love opening the door for people to discover more in.
- We are doing a new series about prayer and i am so jazzed about it. I am a work in progress on my prayer life. I always feel like I can do better at it. When I teach through things I grow in my understanding of the subject in lots of ways and I Love that.
- Kyle and Mandi did a good job leading Sunday... Ashley Boyed our basest on Sunday is leaving for FL. soon. I am bummed she got a job down their because she is a great part of the family of High Point. She will be missed.
- I freaked out watching the Olympic trials and seeing one of our Chic's hit a World record time! GO FOR GOLD!
- I start training seriously for my marathon tonight... PRAY FOR ME>>>
- I am praying and believing that a couple of my neighbors will find our church a positive example of Christ and his Church. I find when people have a bad taste in their mouth it takes a lot for them to let there guard down and experience God. Praying for them.
